Air Fryer Pork Chops

Juicy air fryer pork chops seasoned with a simple savory-sweet rub and cooked at 400°F until golden outside and tender inside.

Ingredients
  

  • Pork chops bone-in or boneless
  • Olive oil
  • Brown sugar
  • Paprika
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Ground mustard
  • Fresh thyme or parsley optional
  • Cayenne pepper or chili powder optional
  • Red pepper flakes optional
  • BBQ rub or sauce optional

  • Meat thermometer
  • Paper towels

Method
 

  1. Thaw the pork chops completely before cooking if frozen.
  2. Pat the pork chops dry before seasoning.
  3. Coat the pork chops lightly with olive oil.
  4. Season with brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and ground mustard.
  5. For deeper flavor, let the seasoned pork chops rest for at least 10–15 minutes.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  7. Arrange the pork chops in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  8. Air fry according to thickness: 7–9 minutes for thinner boneless chops, 10–12 minutes for thicker boneless chops, or 12–14 minutes for bone-in chops.
  9. Flip the pork chops halfway through cooking.
  10. Check the thickest part with a meat thermometer.
  11. Cook until the pork reaches a safe internal temperature of 145°F.
  12. Remove from the air fryer and let the pork chops rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.

Notes

Air Fryer Temperature: 400°F.
Thin boneless pork chops: 7–9 minutes.
Thicker boneless pork chops: 10–12 minutes.
Bone-in pork chops: 12–14 minutes.
Flip the pork chops halfway through cooking.
Pork should reach an internal temperature of 145°F.
Rest the pork chops for at least 3 minutes after cooking.
Seasoning Rest Time: at least 10–15 minutes.
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for 3–4 days.
Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–5 minutes.
