- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
- Add the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to a bowl.
- Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
- Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer and cook until the burgers reach 160°F.
- Add one slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking.
- Serve on burger buns with lettuce, tomato, pickles, or your preferred toppings.
