Method
- Pat the chicken dry and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker and sprinkle ranch seasoning over it.
- Add the crumbled bacon and any optional add-ins.
- Add 1/4–1/2 cup chicken broth if extra moisture is needed.
- Cook on LOW for 4–6 hours, or HIGH for 2–3 hours.
- Check that the chicken reaches 165°F.
- About 20–30 minutes before serving, add the cream cheese and optional shredded cheddar.
- Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir until the sauce is smooth.
- Garnish with green onions and extra bacon if desired.

Alternative HIGH setting: 2–3 hours.
